Lyric Da Queen
Flint, Michigan - home to MC Breed and Dayton Family, now has a female emcee ready to take the reign. Lyric Da Queen, champion battle rapper well known for her cut throat delivery, began rapping at an early elementary school age. Now a Miami/Atlanta resident, Lyric Da Queen wants to raise the bar for females and break the stereotypes and limitations that have been set over the years. Lyric Da Queen is influenced by hip hop legends Jadakiss, Andre 3000, and Eminem which is rare for most female rappers. Her rhymes have a story telling vibe that appeal to a broad hip-hop and rap audience. Her image conveys the realness of a woman’s point of view, but still gains the respect of men because of her edginess.
Her first solo project, a Gangsta Grillz mix tape titled “My Time Iz Now” Vol. 1 hosted by DJ Drama was released late 2011 with Royalty Records. She has also collaborated with artists like Michigan’s Forty Da Great and Jon Conner. With the viral recognition she has achieved via internet she has been noted by various blog and hip hop websites as the female to lookout for in 2012. Her performance roster includes Hot 102.7 Summer Jam 2006, the legendary St. Andrews in Detroit, MI, Slaughterhouse performances, The BET Rap-It-Up Initiative in Atlanta, GA, and several other venues located in the surrounding areas. Currently, Lyric Da Queen is branching off on her own and working on ‘The Beats Iz Mine, Vol. 1,’ & ‘My Time Iz Now, Vol. 2’ which are anticipated to drop late 2012. With a precise short term plan that will not be blemished by a complacent atmosphere; Lyric feels becoming successful is creating a not only unmatched brand but an unforgettable mark for herself.
